Terms and conditions.In plain English.

These terms explain how buying from BTC Spares works: ordering, delivery, returns and your legal rights. Please read them before you place an order.

This is a summary. The full terms below apply.

  • UK delivery is free on orders over £50, and orders placed by 3pm on a working day are delivered the next working day to most UK addresses.
  • If you're a consumer, you can cancel within 14 days of receiving your order (clause 6).
  • Faulty, damaged or wrong parts are covered by your legal rights (clause 7).
  • Brakes, clutches and other safety-critical parts should be fitted by a qualified mechanic (clause 8).

1.1 BTC Spares is the trading name of Bhesania Trading Co Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 13600971. Our registered office is at 407 Stratford Road, Birmingham B11 4JZ.

1.2 You can contact us by phone or WhatsApp on 07459 209297, by email at sales@btcspares.co.uk, or through the form on our Contact page. We're open Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm.

1.3 These terms apply to every order you place on btcspares.co.uk. Please read them before you order. By placing an order, you agree to them.

1.4 Some terms work differently depending on whether you're a consumer, buying mainly for personal use, or a business customer, buying for your trade, business or profession, such as a garage. Clause 10 sets out the terms that apply only to business customers.

1.5 If we need to contact you about your order, we'll use the email address or phone number you gave us when you ordered.

2.1 We sell genuine and quality aftermarket car parts. Each listing says which it is and shows the OE numbers the part matches.

2.2 Images are for illustration. The part you receive may look slightly different, for example in its packaging or finish, but it will match the description and part numbers on the listing.

2.3 Our vehicle selector shows parts linked to the make, model and engine you choose. Where fit depends on a variant, such as engine code or disc size, the listing says so. Please check the listing, and the OE number on your old part where you can, before you order and again before you fit.

2.4 Some listings are marked "Fitment being confirmed". We're still checking the fitment for these parts, so please contact us before ordering one. If you order without checking and the part doesn't fit, your right to cancel in clause 6 still applies.

2.5 If you're not sure a part is right for your vehicle, contact us before you order with your vehicle details, and we'll help you choose.

3.1 You can order as a guest or with an account.

3.2 When you place an order, we'll email you to confirm we've received it. This email isn't our acceptance of your order.

3.3 We accept your order when we email you to confirm it has been dispatched. That's when the contract between us is made.

3.4 If we can't accept your order, for example because a part is out of stock or there's an obvious error in the price or description, we'll contact you and won't charge you. If you've already paid, we'll refund you in full.

3.5 If a part turns out to be unavailable after you order, we'll call you before dispatch to explain your options. If you don't want an alternative, we'll refund you in full for that part.

3.6 If you want to change or cancel an order before it's dispatched, contact us as soon as possible. We'll do our best, but we may not be able to change an order once it's on its way. This doesn't affect your right to cancel in clause 6.

4.1 Prices are in pounds sterling (£) and are the prices shown on the website when you place your order. The price of your parts and any delivery charge are shown at checkout before you pay.

4.2 We take care to show the right prices. If we find an obvious pricing error before we accept your order, we'll tell you, and you can choose to go ahead at the correct price or cancel.

4.3 You can pay by debit or credit card through our payment provider, Stripe, or with PayPal. We don't store your card details.

4.4 We take payment when you place your order. If we don't accept your order, we'll refund you in full.

Note: the prices carry no VAT wording, because the business isn't VAT-registered.

5.1 We deliver to addresses in the UK. We don't deliver outside the UK at the moment.

5.2 UK delivery is free on orders over £50. On smaller orders, delivery costs £3 for a small parcel or £6 for a large parcel. The charge for your order is shown at checkout before you pay.

5.3 Orders placed and paid for before 3pm on a working day are dispatched the same day for next working day delivery in the UK. Orders placed after 3pm, at weekends or on UK bank holidays are dispatched on the next working day. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays. Next working day delivery isn't available to the Scottish Highlands and Islands or the Northern Isles (Orkney and Shetland), where delivery may take longer.

5.4 We send parcels with DHL, Royal Mail, FedEx, Evri or DPD. When your order is dispatched, we'll email you its tracking number. If you have an account, you can also check its status under Manage my order.

5.5 Delivery times are estimates. If something outside our control delays your order, such as courier disruption or severe weather, we'll let you know and do what we can to limit the delay. If the delay is likely to be long, you can contact us to cancel, and we'll refund you for anything you've paid for but not received.

5.6 Please check your delivery address before you pay. We can change it only before your order is dispatched.

5.7 If nobody is available to take delivery, the courier will usually leave a note explaining how to rearrange delivery or collect your parcel. If a parcel comes back to us because it couldn't be delivered, we'll contact you to arrange redelivery free of charge or, if you prefer, a full refund including the delivery charge.

5.8 The parts are our responsibility until they're delivered to you or to someone you've named. They become yours once we've received full payment.

6.1 If you're a consumer, you can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days, starting the day after you receive it. If your order arrives in more than one delivery, the 14 days start the day after the last part arrives.

6.2 To cancel, tell us clearly within that time. Email sales@btcspares.co.uk, or call or WhatsApp 07459 209297, with your name, order number and the parts you're cancelling. You can use the model cancellation form below, but you don't have to.

6.3 Send the parts back within 14 days of telling us you're cancelling, to: BTC Spares Returns, 28 Cary Road, London E11 3LQ. Please include your order number.

6.4 You pay the cost of returning parts you've cancelled, unless they're faulty or we sent you the wrong item.

6.5 You may handle the parts only as you would in a shop, to check what they are. If a part has been fitted, used or damaged, or comes back without its original packaging, we may reduce your refund to reflect its loss in value, up to the full price.

6.6 When returned parts arrive, we'll inspect them to check they haven't been used or damaged. We'll refund the price of the parts and any standard delivery charge you paid, to the payment method you used, within 14 days of receiving the parts back, or of you showing us proof that you've sent them, whichever is sooner. If a part has lost value because it was used or damaged, we may reduce the refund, as clause 6.5 explains.

6.7 This right to cancel applies to consumers only. Clause 10 covers returns from business customers.

7.1 If you're a consumer, the law says the parts we sell must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.

7.2 In summary, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015:

  • Up to 30 days after delivery: if a part is faulty, you can reject it and get a full refund.
  • After 30 days: you can ask for a repair or replacement. If that isn't possible, or doesn't fix the problem, you can have a refund or a price reduction. For the first six months, it's up to us to show the part wasn't faulty when it arrived.
  • Up to six years (five in Scotland): if a part doesn't last a reasonable length of time, you may be entitled to some money back.

7.3 If a part arrives damaged, or we send the wrong part, contact us as soon as possible with your order number and photos of the part and its packaging. WhatsApp on 07459 209297 is the quickest way to send them. We'll arrange a replacement or refund and cover the cost of returning the part.

7.4 If a part you've fitted turns out to be faulty, stop using the vehicle if the fault affects its safety, and contact us. We may ask to inspect the part. Your rights in clause 7.2 don't cover damage caused by incorrect fitting, accident, misuse or normal wear and tear.

7.5 These rights are in addition to your right to cancel in clause 6.

8.1 Many car parts, especially brakes, steering, suspension and clutch parts, affect your vehicle's safety. They should be fitted by a qualified mechanic, following the vehicle and part manufacturers' instructions.

8.2 Before fitting, check the part against your old one and against the listing. If anything doesn't match, don't fit it; contact us.

8.3 We're not responsible for loss or damage caused by incorrect fitting, or by fitting a part to a vehicle it isn't listed for, unless the listing information we gave you was wrong.

9.1 This clause applies to consumers. Clause 10 covers business customers.

9.2 If we don't meet these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for loss or damage that isn't foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it's obvious it will happen, or if we both knew it might happen when the contract was made.

9.3 We don't exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for breaching your legal rights in relation to the parts, as summarised in clause 7.

9.4 We supply parts for private use. If you use them for commercial or business purposes, we have no liability to you for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.

10.1 This clause applies if you buy from us for your trade, business or profession, for example as a garage or parts reseller. Where it conflicts with another clause, this clause applies.

10.2 The right to cancel in clause 6 doesn't apply to business customers, but we accept returns of unused, unfitted parts in their original, undamaged packaging within 14 days of delivery, as we do for retail customers. Contact us first, and include your order number with the return. You pay the return postage unless the part is faulty or we sent the wrong item, and we'll inspect returned parts before refunding.

10.3 Parts will match their description and be free from material defects when delivered. If a part is faulty, tell us within 7 days of finding the fault. We'll repair or replace it, or refund its price, at our choice.

10.4 Our total liability to you for any order is limited to the price paid for that order. We aren't liable for loss of profit, loss of business, or any indirect or consequential loss, or for labour, fitting, towing or vehicle-hire costs.

10.5 Nothing in this clause limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

10.6 The delivery terms in clause 5 apply to business customers too, including our responsibility for parts until they're delivered.

Clauses 10.3 and 10.4 must be reasonable under the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977. The 7-day notice runs from when the fault is found, which helps, but a solicitor should still confirm both before launch.

11.1 If you create an account, keep your password secure, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.

11.2 We use your personal data as described in our Privacy policy.

12.1 If you're unhappy with anything, please contact us first using the details in clause 1.2. We'll acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 5 working days.

12.2 We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown on the website when you placed it.

12.3 We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. We'll tell you if this happens, and it won't reduce your rights. You may transfer your rights to someone else only if we agree in writing.

12.4 If a court finds part of these terms unlawful, the rest will stay in force.

12.5 If we don't insist straight away that you do something you're required to do, we can still insist on it later.

12.6 This contract is between you and us. Nobody else has any rights to enforce it.

12.7 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer, you can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of your home country. Business customers agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
